2023 marks another chapter in our commitment to restoring marine habitats along the Portuguese coast under the BLUEFORESTS #EEA research project.

We initiated the deployment of Laminaria ochroleuca at Peniche and Cascais coast and at the Berlengas Marine Reserve, embarking on a journey to recover these vital ecosystems.

Throughout the year, our dedicated deployment and monitoring efforts were focused on tracking the survival and growth of kelp seeded stones and the overall health of the marine population.

This ongoing research is crucial not only to assess the immediateimpact on the habitat but also to identify areas for improvement and gain insights for future deployments in different locations.

Together, we strive to safeguard the marine environment and advance our understanding of sustainable habitat restoration.
